We carry the most advanced hearing technology.

Hearing Aids at Center For Sight

We carry a variety of hearing aids, of all shapes and sizes, to fit every need. We choose which hearing aid manufacturers to carry based on what’s right for our patients. When recommending a certain hearing aid, we focus on the devices that are most reliable, have the best sound quality, and offer technology that can make a profound difference for our patients.

We know that many patients say that noisy situations are the most challenging environments to hear in, even while wearing hearing aids. That is why we focus our hearing aid recommendations on the device that is going to improve a patient’s speech understanding in even the most complex environments. You can rest assured that the hearing aids you get at Center For Sight are the newest and best technology on the market. We carry hearing aids with outstanding capabilities such as:

• Fully automatic multi-memories
• Noise reduction
• Telecoils for loop system access

• Rechargeability
• Wireless Bluetooth connections to your phone, TV, etc.

Featured Technology: The Oticon More™

Oticon More miniRITE hearing aids

The Oticon More™ is a new perspective in hearing care. This hearing aid is designed to work more like the brain does because it learned through experience. Using On-board Deep Neural Network (DNN) the Oticon More™ gives the brain more of the information it needs to make sense of sounds, even in the most complex listening environments. Research has proven that the brain needs access to all sounds – not just speech – in order to function in a natural way. Using MoreSound Intelligence, Oticon More™ delivers 30% more sound to the brain, making speech and other sounds clearer*.

With the Oticon More™ you will be able to enjoy, follow, and engage in conversations easier than before. You won’t have to strain to hear anymore, the Oticon More™ will do all the work while providing you with crystal clear sound. Hearing Aid Styles

IIC hearing aids
CIC hearing aids
ITC hearing aids
RIC hearing aids
BTE hearing aids

We carry all styles of hearing aids, including custom-fit hearing aids such as the small invisible-in-the-canal (IIC) style, as well as behind-the-ear (BTE) and receiver-in-the-canal (RIC). Which hearing aid style is right depends on the patient. Some styles are better suited for more severe hearing loss, more active lifestyles, and different aesthetic preferences. We are happy to demonstrate what each hearing aid style looks like on our own ears so patients can make a decision — and they are usually pleasantly surprised by how subtle modern hearing aids can be.

While we are willing to fit any style, most patients choose the receiver-in-canal style because people tend to find it more comfortable, it gives options such as rechargeability, and typically one’s own voice sounds more natural.

It’s important to note that hearing aid styles are all virtually the same price, so we’ll work with you to make a decision based on your lifestyle. (Cost is dependent on how sophisticated the technology inside the hearing aid is, rather than the shape of the hearing aid itself.) We offer a 30-day trial period for all hearing aids so you can be confident in your choice to wear hearing aids.

Hearing Aid Maintenance

Wearing hearing aids for the first time is an adjustment, so we follow you closely with 2–3 follow-up visits within the first month of your hearing aid fitting. Once you have adjusted and are thrilled with your hearing aids, we recommend six-month visits so we can clean and check your hearing aids, similar to a six-month dental cleaning. We’ll also check your hearing once a year and adjust your hearing aids if necessary. Depending on the service plan included with your hearing aid purchase, your follow-up hearing aid care is included at no additional charge for 1–3 years.

Hearing Aid Care

When you first get your hearing aids, we will cover everything you need to know to be comfortable with the maintenance of your hearing aids. The most essential things to know are that you should keep your hearing aid clean and dry. Some people need to clean their hearing aids every day, while others may only need to do so every other day. Avoid getting your hearing aid wet. Try to remember not to wear hearing aids into the shower. Don’t store them in a humid space like your bathroom, and keep hearing aids out of reach of any pets. We’ll go over all of this and more at your hearing aid orientation, and we are always available to answer any questions you may have during the process.
